Who We Are
Old Peak Capital is an investment bank focused on sustainable businesses in the southeast U.S. We believe the world must shift toward sustainable production and consumption of energy, food and water. Talented entrepreneurs will build many new businesses to make this transformation happen. Old Peak Capital's mission to is to empower those businesses by connecting them with investors and other sources of finance. Rick Waechter, Old Peak Capital's founder, played a lead role in completing transactions worth $50 bn over 15 years with Merrill Lynch. We are based in North Carolina's research triangle area.

What We Do
We raise capital and provide financial advisory services for sustainable businesses, primarily in the southeast U.S. We are focused on:
- Alternative energy clients, including solar, wind, bio-fuels / bio-mass, geothermal and other sources of renewable energy which are substitutes for oil and coal. We are also interested in energy efficiency technologies such as smart grids, recognizing the least expensive and most sustainable source of energy is conservation.
- Local / sustainable food and agriculture companies. We believe these industries must reduce their use of energy, develop more sustainable production methods and address America's health crisis.
- Water companies. We believe companies will increasingly develop economic solutions to a growing supply / demand imbalance.
